About Simran Wind Project
Simran Wind Project Private Limited (Simran) is an Indian wind power generation company. It is a subsidiary of Techno Electric & Engineering Company Ltd. (TEECL), a leading EPC company based in Kolkata, India. TEECL currently holds 96.62% in Simran following the stake sale of 3.38% to International Finance Corporation (IFC), the investment arm of the World Bank. Simran is the first project developer under the Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) scheme to cross the 100 MW mark. The company achieved the milestone recently with the accreditation of a 10.5 MW wind energy project in Tamil Nadu.
