Description

The project is developed and owned by The Tata Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Subbituminous. The fuel is procured from Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. and Imported Coal from Mines of Indonesia and other Countries.

The project generated 26,686,000MWh of electricity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in March 2012.

Power purchase agreement

Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam, Haryana Power Generation, Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution and Punjab State Power are the power offtakers from the project.

Doosan Enerbility, Power Mech Projects and Toshiba JSW Power Systems were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
