Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Marubeni and MCS International. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from Tavan Tolgoi Coal Field.
The project cost is expected to be around $2,000m.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Oyu Tolgoi under a power purchase agreement.
