Description
The project was developed by Powertek. The project is currently owned by China Southern Power Grid with a stake of 37% and China General Nuclear Power.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Petronas.

The power generated from the project is sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors involved
Resources Power Group was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of PG 9171E gas turbines, each with 110MW nameplate capacity.
