The project was developed by Energia Aljaval, Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB de CV and Trina Solar. Sempra and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99.9% and 0.1% respectively.

Tepezala II Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 310,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 226,300t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.016kWh for a period of 15 years.

Gop Properties Socimi and Trina Solar were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
