Description

The project was developed by JR-East Energy Development and is currently owned by Tomioka Fukko Energy.

Tomioka-machi Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 40 hectares.

The project generates 33,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 9,100 households. The project cost is $58.839m.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tokyo Electric Power Co Holdings under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 19.8MW.

Contractors involved

Hitachi was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Kyocera was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 110,880 modules at the site.
