Description

The project was developed by First Solar and is currently owned by BHE Renewables with a stake of 100%.

Topaz Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 3,500 acres.

The project generates 1,066,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 160,000 households, offsetting 377,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $2,440m.

The project consists of 9,000,000 modules.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Pacific Gas and Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2013. The contracted capacity is 550MW.
