Description

The project was developed by Arevon Energy Management, Korea Western Power and Skylar Resources. The project is currently owned by Capital Dynamics with a stake of 100%.

Townsite Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,053 acres.

The project generates 500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 60,000 households, offsetting 400,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in January 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Glendale Water & Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 50MW.

Contractors involved

First Solar Electric was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 528,084 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Sungrow Power Supply for the project.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
