Description

The project was developed by Akuo Energy USA, Chermac Energy, NorthRenew Energy, Taaleri Energia and Truscott Gilliland Wind. Others, AIP Management PS, Akuo Energy USA and Taaleri Energia are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 38.66%, 35%, 19.33% and 7% respectively.

The project generates 1,270,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 275,000 households, offsetting 604,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project (Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project-I), has 119m high towers.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2022.

Power purchase agreement

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and Nephila Climate are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project (Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project-I) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V162-5.6 MW turbines. The phase consists of 45 turbines with 5.6MW nameplate capacity.

Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project (Truscott-Gilliland East Wind Project-II) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V150-4.2 MW turbines. The phase consists of 20 turbines with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2022, for a period of 30 years.
