Description
The project is being developed by Parque Eolico Tucano, SoWiTec do Brasil Energias Alternativas and Tucano F4 Geracao de Energias. The project is currently owned by Tucano F4 Geracao de Energias with a stake of 100%.
The project cost is expected to be around $67.27m.
The Tubular Steel structure to be installed at the project site are expected to be 115m high.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Anglo American under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2022.
Contractors involved
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 7 units of SG 5.8-170 turbines, each with 6.2MW nameplate capacity.
