Datang International Power Generation, Beijing Energy Investment Holding and Inner Mongolia Mengdian Huaneng Thermal Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 25% and 15% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from Junggar Coal Field.
