Description

The project was developed by Acciona Energia and is currently owned by Acciona Energia Internacional.

The project generates 140,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,000 households, offsetting 129,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $60.819m.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Mangalore Electricity Supply under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 34 units of V82-1.65 MW turbines, each with 1.65MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
