Description

Abu Dhabi National Energy, Engie and JERA are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 20% and 20% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel is procured from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.

Development status

The project got commissioned in July 2007.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Emirates Water and Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 1,691MW.

Mitsui and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.

The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions.
