University of Illinois Solar PV Park I is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 54 acres.

The project generates 27,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 2,000 households.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Prairieland Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2021.

Contractors involved

Inovateus Solar was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by GCL System Integration Technology and Trina Solar.

Sungrow Power Supply supplied 4 of its SungrowSH3150 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

Sol Systems is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2021.
