Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Brazilian Energy Participacoes, Centrais Eletricas Barcarena, Golar Power Brasil Participacoes and Oak Participacoes. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 49.5%, 24.75%, 24.75% and 1% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant.
The project cost is expected to be around $430m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power purchase agreement
Boa Vista Energia, Companhia de Eletricidade do Estado da Bahia Coelba, Companhia Energetica de Alagoas, Companhia Energetica de Minas Gerais, Companhia Energetica de Pernambuco, Companhia Energetica do Maranhao CEMAR, Companhia Energetica do Piaui, Equatorial Para Distribuidora de Energia and Light are expected to be the power offtakers from the project.
