Description

The project was developed by Parque Eolico Valle de Los Vientos and Sowitec Group. Enel Green Power Chile and Enel Chile are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99.99% and 0.01% respectively.

The project generates 219,300MWh electricity thereby offsetting 167,404t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the project site are 80m high.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 45 units of V100-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 5 years.
