The AES and Others are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 99% and 1% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Reserve. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.
