Victoria Falls is a run-of-river project. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 10 in number. Victoria Falls underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during April 2003 to March 2005. The project generated 702,000 MWh of electricity.
