Description

The project is being developed by Vulcan Solar Hybrid Energy Centre GP and is currently owned by EDF Renewables Canada with a stake of 100%.

Vulcan Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 960 acres.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 12,000 households, to offset 85,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $155m.

The solar power project consists of 300,000 modules, each with 370W nameplate capacity.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.
