Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Guyana Power & Light. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Liza Pipeline Project.

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2025.
