The project is developed and owned by Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority.
Warsak is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 31.207 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 144m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 6 in number. The penstock diameter is 5.486m. Warsak underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1996-2006.Warsak (Warsak Phase I) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1996-2006. The project generated 36,261 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,052.94m.
