Description

The project was developed by EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg and Procon Solar. The project is currently owned by EnBW Energie Baden-Wurttemberg with a stake of 100%.

Weesow-Willmersdorf Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 180,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 130,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in March 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Covestro under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2022. The contracted capacity is 63MW.

Contractors involved

Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 465,000 modules each with 400W of nameplate capacity.

Sungrow Deutschland supplied 42 of its SG3125HV inverters to the project site.

The mounting systems have been supplied by Meiser Strabenausstattung for the project.
