Description
The project was developed by First Solar and Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments. The project is currently owned by Beijing Energy International Holding with a stake of 100%.
Wellington Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 490 hectares.
The project generates 420,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 70,000 households, offsetting 336,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Snowy Hydro under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2021. The contracted capacity is 105MWh.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
