Description

The project is being developed by EDF Renewables Ireland, Shell New Energies UK and Simply Blue Energy. The project is co-owned by EDF Renewables Ireland and Simply Blue Energy, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 1,145,000 households. The turbines will be mounted on floating type foundations.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2030.
