Description
The project was developed by Belectric UK, British Solar Renewables, Public Power Solutions and WElink Energy UK. The project is currently owned by Rockfire Capital.
Wroughton Airfield Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 172 acres.
The project generates 60GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,400 households, offsetting 35t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in March 2016.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to HSBC Bank under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.
