Description

The project is being developed by CI Wind Power Development Taiwan and Fuhai Wind Farm. The project is currently owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners KS. The project will be spread over an area of 61.5km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed type foundations.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the Xidao (Xidao Phase I) will be sold to Taiwan Power under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.204kWh for a period of 20 years. The capacity to be procured is 47.5MW.

Contractors involved

Xidao (Xidao Phase I) will be equipped with Vestas Offshore Wind V174-9.5 MW turbines. The phase consists of 5 turbines with 9.5MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Offshore Wind is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Xidao (Xidao Phase I) for a period of 15 years.

Chin Fong Machine Industrial and CS Wind are expected to supply towers for the project.
