Description
The project was developed by Yufutsu Energy Center. Nippon Paper Industries and Sojitz are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Hokkaido Electric Power under a power purchase agreement.
