Description
The project was developed by Amec Foster Wheeler and is currently owned by Fortum Silesia with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 550GWh of electricity.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors involved
Doosan Skoda Power was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 unit of DST-S10 turbine.
Sumitomo SHI FW Energia supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 270TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 536°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 1,334psig.Doosan Skoda Power supplied the electric generator for the project.
