Description

The project is developed and owned by Electric Power Industry of Serbia.

Zvornik is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 22.7m and 17m respectively. Zvornik underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2015-2020.Zvornik (Zvornik A1) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2015- 2016.Zvornik (Zvornik A2) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2016- 2018.Zvornik (Zvornik A3) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2018- 2019.Zvornik (Zvornik A4) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2019- 2020. The project generated 550 GWh of electricity.

The project construction commenced in 1948 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1955.

ELNOS BL was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the hydro power project.

Voith Hydro Holding was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 31.4MW nameplate capacity.

Voith Hydro Holding supplied 4 electric generators for the project.
