Provvidenza is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 2.4 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 250m. The penstock length is 240m. The penstock diameter is 3.5m. Provvidenza underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1994.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines.
