Radiant Project Solar PV Park is a 48MW solar PV power project. It is located in Uasin Gishu, Kenya. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2021.

The project was developed by Radiant Energy and is currently owned by Frontier Investment Management.

Radiant Project Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 301 acres.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 53,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $76.8m.

The project consists of 140,800 modules.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2021.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Kenya Power and Lighting under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.12kWh.

Contractors Involved

Grupotec Servicios Avanzados was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
