The project is developed and owned by SJVN.

Rampur is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 139m and 119.1m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock length is 499.5m. The penstock diameter is 3.8m. The project generated 1,960.36 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $670m.

Power Purchase Agreement

Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 6 units of francis turbines, each with 68MW nameplate capacity.
