Description

The project was developed by Cory Environmental and is currently owned by Riverside Resource Recovery.

The project generates 580GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 66,000 households. The project cost is $809.2m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Household waste which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors Involved

AE&E Group and Hitachi Zosen Inova were selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.

MAN Energy Solutions was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company supplied Extraction-condensation Turbine model turbines for the project.

Hitachi Zosen Inova supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 96.5TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 427Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 72bar.MAN Energy Solutions supplied the electric generator for the project.

Hitachi Zosen Inova is the O&M contractor for the project.
