Sabanalarga – Bolivar Line is a 500kV overhead line with a length of 65km from Sabanalarga, Atlántico, Colombia, to Bolivar, Bolivar, Colombia.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2022.


Sabanalarga – Bolivar Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Unidad de Planeacion Minero Energetica. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $4.9m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

The development of the Sabanalarga – Bolivar Line project has been approved by the The Energy and Gas Regulatory Commission.
