Samanoud Substation is a 500/220kV substation located in Samanoud, Tanta, Egypt. The construction works on Samanoud Substation began in 2016. The project was commissioned in 2018.
The Samanoud Substation project is a new substation being operated by Egyptian Electricity Transmission.
The designed voltage level of the project is 500/220kV, while the operating voltage level is 500/220kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 500kV and the step-out voltage is 220kV.
Samanoud Substation has received approval from Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency to undertake the works on the project.
Siemens was appointed by Egyptian Electricity Transmission to undertake design and construction works of the Samanoud Substation.
