Sardar Sarovar – Canal Head Power House (CHPH) is a 250MW hydro power project. It is located on Narmada river/basin in Gujarat, India. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2004.

Sardar Sarovar – Canal Head Power House (CHPH) is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 5,859.03 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 36m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 5 in number. The penstock length is 70m. The penstock diameter is 6.7m. The project generated 5,469 GWh of electricity.
The project got commissioned in 2004.
Jaiprakash Associates was selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.
Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 5 units of kaplan turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.
