Description
Florida Power & Light and JEA are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 76.4% and 23.6% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is subbituminous. In case of shortage of subbituminous the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Wyoming’s Powder River Basin.
The Coal fired project consists of 1 steam turbine with 891MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in February 1989.
