Shazand Thermal Power Plant is a 1,300MW gas fired power project. It is located in Markazi, Iran. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in July 2000.

The project is currently owned by Shazand Power Generation Management.
It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is gas. In case of shortage of gas the plant can also run on Diesel.
The project got commissioned in July 2000.
MAPNA Turbine Engineering & Manufacturing was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company supplied MST-70 model steam turbines for the project.
MAPNA Generator Engineering & Manufacturing supplied electric generator for the project.
Siemens Heat Transfer Technology supplied steam boiler for the project.
