Description

The project is developed and owned by Showa Shell Sekiyu and Ube Industries. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

Shell-Yamaguchi Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 30 hectares.

The project generates 25,010MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 6,900 households. The project cost is $65.365m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2014.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to The Chugoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Solar Frontier was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.

The inverters were procured from Fuji Electric for the project.

Ube Industries is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
