Sibiu South Substation is a 400kV substation located in Sibiu, Transylvania, Romania.

The Sibiu South Substation project’s construction has begun in 2020. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2021.

Description

Sibiu South Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Transelectrica.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 400/110kV and the operating voltage level is 400/110kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 400kV and the step-out voltage is 110kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 250MVA.

Sibiu South Substation project development status

The development of the Sibiu South Substation project was approved by The National Electricity and Heat Regulatory in 2020. The project is expected to be commissioned in 2021.
