Sigalda is a 150MW hydro power project. It is located on Tungnaa river/basin in South, Iceland. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1973 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1977.

Description
The project was developed by Energoprojekt Niskogradnja and is currently owned by Landsvirkjun hf.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 140 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 74m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock length is 110m. The project generated 920 GWh of electricity.
