The Sinebrychoff Drinks Factory Battery Energy Storage System is being developed by Siemens Smart Infrastructure. The project is owned by MW Storage (69%).

The key application of the project is improve energy efficiency and power quality.

Contractors involved

MW Storage is the owner. Siemens Smart Infrastructure is the developer. Fluence Energy is the technology provider for the project.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is the system integrator.

Additional information

Swiss storage integration and operation company MW Storage International provided the project’s initial investment and will have 69% ownership of the battery. Siemens Financial Services assisted with risk management and financial structuring of the deal between the partners and the finance unit was also involved in developing the business model which reportedly enabled the virtual power plant (VPP) through ‘smart financing.’.
