Description
The project is being developed by Hitachi Zosen Inova, SSE and Wheelabrator Technologies. The project is co-owned by SSE and Wheelabrator Technologies, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 100,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $257.718m.
Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
