The Smart Power-Sungrow Battery Energy Storage System 1 is being developed by Smart Power.

The key applications of the project are renewable energy integaration, electric energy time shift and frequency regulation.

Contractors involved

Smart Power is the developer. Sungrow Power Supply is the technology provider for the project.

Additional information

The project is a part of Sungrow’s supply contract with Smart Power for a 30MW/30MWh Energy Storage Project in Germany. Smart Power signed a deal for Sungrow to supply the three separate 10MW / 10MWh systems, which will provide frequency regulation services to the local grid as well as some energy shifting. Location of the project(s) has not been disclosed.
