Soma B Substation, Turkey

Soma B Substation is a 380kV substation located in Soma, Manisa, Turkey.

The works are expected to be commissioned in 2021.


Soma B Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Turkiye Elektrik Iletim.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 380/154/33kV and the operating voltage level is 380/154/33kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 380kV and the step-out voltage is 33kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 100MVA.

Soma B Substation project development status

The development of the Soma B Substation project was approved by Energy Market Regulatory Authority. The project is expected to be commissioned in 2021. Approximately $3.1m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
