Songea – Tunduru Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 230km from Songea, Ruvuma, Tanzania, to Tunduru, Ruvuma, Tanzania.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2024.

Description

Songea – Tunduru Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $95.45m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
