Soochow Substation, China

Soochow Substation is a 1000kV substation located in Jiangsu, Jiangsu, China. The construction works on Soochow Substation began in 2019. The project was commissioned in 2020.

Description

The Soochow Substation project is an upgrade substation being operated by State Grid Corporation of China.

The designed voltage level of the project is 1000kV, while the operating voltage level is 1000kV. The step-in voltage of the substation is 1000kV. The substation capacity is 3,000MVA.

Soochow Substation has received approval from The State Electricity Regulatory Commission to undertake the works on the project.

Contractors involved

Jiangsu Electric Power Design Institute was appointed by State Grid Corporation of China to undertake design and construction works of the Soochow Substation.
