South and Central America power industry tenders in April 2021: Bolivia leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, Bolivia led the activity in April 2021 with six tenders and a share of 30%, down 3.3% over the previous month and down 25% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Paraguay with four tenders and a share of 20% and Uruguay with three tenders and a share of 15% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, Bolivia held the top spot with eight tenders, followed by Uruguay with three and Trinidad and Tobago with two tenders.

Solar is top technology area for tenders in April 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with five tenders and a 100% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in South and Central America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in April 2021, with ten tenders, followed by T&D Project (5) and Power Plant (5).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 12 tenders and a 60% share
- Project Implementation: seven tenders and a 35% share
