Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the South and Central America region in October 2019 with 92 contracts and a 91.1% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with five contracts and a 5% share and Generation Equipment with three contracts and a 3% share during the month.

Wind is top technology for South and Central America power plant contracts in October 2019

Looking at power plant contracts by the type of technology in the South and Central America region, wind accounted for 45 contracts with a 48.4% share, followed by hydro with 27 contracts and a 29% share and solar with 12 contracts and a 12.9% share.
