There were 20 power plant tenders announced in the South and Central America region in March 2021, marking a rise of 900% over the last 12-month average of 2, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the South and Central America region in March 2021 with 20 tenders and a 40% share, followed by T&D Project with 16 tenders and a 32% share and T&D Equipment with 11 tenders and a 22% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Project Implementation: 13 tenders and a 65% share
2. Consulting & Similar Services: seven tenders and a 35% share.

The top issuer of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in South and Central America was:Guyana Energy Agency (Guyana) with 2.87MW from 14 tenders.
